About this calculator

This site exists to answer one question quickly: how much GST or VAT applies to a given amount, in the country you're actually dealing with. No account, no spreadsheet, no ten-tab detour through a government website.

Every rate shown here is checked against the issuing tax authority — IRAS for Singapore, the ATO for Australia, HMRC for the UK, and so on — and each calculator page links to the rate's history so you can see how it got to where it is today.

Rates are reviewed periodically, not continuously. If you spot one that looks out of date, let us know and we'll check it.
